Burn severity mapping is being conducted in two time phases. Fires occurring in 2004-2010 are considered 'current' and will be mapped and reported annually for the entire project extent. As data for each year become available, links will be posted by year under the Annual Reports heading below.

Historical fires occurring from 1984 through 2003 will be mapped, analyzed, and reported by mapping zone through the duration of the project. The historical period for mapping was determined, in part, by the Landsat data record (1982 to present). Mapping zones have been prioritized based on fire frequency, acres affected, and data availability. See the Schedule page for the historical mapping schedule. As these data become available, links will be posted by mapping zone under the Historical Reports heading below.
