MTBS has released 297 newly mapped fires in 17 CONUS states from 2022 fire season.  With this product release on https://www.mtbs.gov/ and associated interactive viewer -

MTBS has released 209 newly mapped fires from 2022 fire season.  With this product release on https://www.mtbs.gov/ and associated interactive viewer - https://www.mtbs.gov/viewer/, the total number of fires mapped by the program increased to 30,627.

MTBS has released 257 newly mapped fires from 2021 fire season. This latest release completes the availability for all the fires from year 2021.  This release also includes revisions to 399 previously mapped fires that are now updated in the archive. With this data release to MTBS.gov, the total number of fires mapped by the program increases to 30,418.

MTBS has released 222 newly mapped fires from 2021 fire season for 17 CONUS states. With this release now data for 769 fires from the 2021 fire season are available for use. The total number of fires mapped by the project has increased to 30,148.

MTBS has released 393 newly mapped fires from 2021 fire season for 30 CONUS states. It is the second quarterly release which adds up total 547 fires (including 154 fires from 1st quarterly release) for 2021 season.

MTBS has released 154 newly mapped fires from 2021 fire season for 16 CONUS states and Alaska.  It is the first quarterly release for 2021 season. With this data release to MTBS.gov, the total number of fires mapped by the project increases to 29,533.

The MTBS Program team has released 397 newly mapped fires from 2020 fire season.  The release includes severity data for fires located across several western states and Alaska. This data release is in addition to the 417 mapped fires from 2020 fire season that were located across 21 eastern and mid-western states that were released in February 2022.

MTBS has released 417 newly mapped fires from 2020 fire season for 21 eastern and mid-western states. This release also adds dozens of revisions to previously mapped fires and released to the archive. With this data release to MTBS.gov, the total number of fires mapped by the project increases to 28,982.

MTBS has released the remaining 457 fire mappings for 2019, bringing the total release for 2019 fires to 810. This release also adds an additional 1,674 new fire mappings and dozens of revisions to previously mapped fires spanning the archive. With this data release to MTBS.gov, the total number of fires mapped by the project increases to 28,584.
